I'm Back....

After 5 long years, I have decided to start back up. Why you say?
Outside of the fact that my lil guy is older now and requires less of my time, my soul is calling me to get back to my passions. While I have many passions, working with oils, butters, herbs and other gifts from nature makes my heart soar. There is something so hypnotic about whipping the butters and adding just the right amount of essential oils to provide additional therapeutic benefits as well as pleasant aromas that provide aromatherapy benefits as well. The other massive benefit is that I get to educate others on the benefits of going natural and living a more healthy balanced lifestyle. I figure if we have to be in these bodies, we may as well feel as good as possible in them and that starts with what you put into and onto your body.
A little back story...
Back in Virginia I had a small business called Eden's Balance, creating products that help our bodies to return to the balance we had in The Garden of Eden. I know, kind of a long shot considering we have quite a bit more pollution than we did then, but I got the purest ingredients possible, sometimes growing my own. Anyhow I had a large home with lots of space for a workspace, storage and shipping supplies. When I moved to California, because of space limitations, I sold the entire business that included hundreds of pounds of shea butter and everything else that went along with it. It was bitter sweet, Eden's Balance had been a huge part of my life for many years but it was incredibly freeing to lighten my load and part with the majority of the items in my 5 bedroom home.
Now, I have a little more space and I have figured out how to work with the shea butter in the warm California climate, so I am back in business.
Who inspired me?
Outside of the intuitive knowing that I needed to at least get back to one of my passions, I also had a massive push to get back to balance, in my diet, my thoughts, my whole being. Being a mommy is hard work dude and then add onto that a "real" job. I wish I could give an award to every hard working single mommy out there, it is tough. Anyhow I digress...part of this push was to go on Groupon and see what papering services I could find and boy did I find lots. That is another blog though but Groupon Rocks this mommy's world.
One of the places I stumbled upon was The Salt and Sauna Sanctuary in San Clemente. It is a cute little spa that offers Salt Therapy (Halotherapy) and Infrared Saunas. I went in for the Salt Therapy, which I have yet to try, but I did end up doing the Infrared Saunas because I was having some neck and shoulder pains. The therapy was very helpful and fast, they offer water, headphones w/covers, towels and pretty much everything else you need in your curtained off section. They can even set the lights to enhance different healing properties. I can see how with repeat visits the Halotherapy can help with many issues.
At the end of my session I spent some time talking to the Owner, Jennifer. She is just lovely and mentioned that she had many handmade products made by local SOCAL artisans that I must try. They were just a lovely as she described and I purchased some to try and also support other artisans. I told her that I used to have a business in Virginia and here I am today...
My products are available at The Salt and Sauna Sanctuary and online.
What is next?
I have spent the last month perfecting the formula because I did have to adjust due to the weather and getting packaging together for gifts. I have also worked on some new formulas as well as gift packaging, which I love and I do make a mean bow! I plan on expanding my product line as well as adding other products from other awesome local artisans to my site as well.
I will also be doing more blogging and sharing of this massive amount of information I have for natural healthy living, eating and just being. Next step after that is going to be getting my Total Body Detox Course App up and running for easy access whenever and where ever you may be.
Thanks for listening to me ramble. It has been so much fun and I am so happy to be back doing what I love...I sure hope you love it too.
